“You were made for this. Your business fills a need that is not being met. We looked at counseling and therapy and they weren’t the right fit for us. We contemplated getting a book – but who is going to help us actually do it?" I received this feedback from a Relationship Coaching client recently.
I've been working with this couple since early November. Initially they expressed a desire to get the "spark" back into their relationship. They acknowledged that they were great friends, partners and co-parents, but had lost the habit of doing special things to keep the spark alive. They experienced their very first insight BEFORE we even started working together. During their discovery session - they realized that they each had different definitions about what it would mean to "get the spark back." They wanted support in changing their habits and keeping their relationship a priority amidst life realities such as busy work schedules and tending to their children. They had been talking about making changes for awhile, but their busy lives were causing some challenges in execution. They made the mutual decision to INVEST in each other and in their relationship. They already had a very strong foundation, and we are building upon what already works well for them. It's been a joy to work with them. They have both been putting more intentionality and effort into reconnecting, communicating more often and more effectively, and bringing fun and playfulness into the process. The "work" of our relationships needn't be so hard all the time. "As our coach, you see the blind spots we can’t see. You’re such an intuitive person and you bring your coaching skills, your own experiences and the growth you’ve gone through into it.” As your relationship coach, I can help you challenge your old habits and patterns, too. Our relationships are a CRITICAL part of the wellbeing and joy we experience in life. Rather than running on auto-pilot, let's explore what's working and what's not in your relationship so you can decide what adjustments you want to make. I've just opened up my calendar for February scheduling. If you're interested in learning more about relationship coaching and exploring if it might be a good fit for you, send me an inquiry via DM or use the link in the comments to schedule a free discovery session. Relationship coaching is helpful for cultivating and strengthening all kinds of relationships - family, friendships, life partners/marriages, and even professional relationships. I support singles, people who are dating, and couples.
